WHY BEESWAX?

Unlike paraffin, which is derived from petroleum, beeswax is 100% natural and burns clean - no synthetic chemicals, no soot.

When burned, beeswax releases negative ions that may help reduce dust, pollen, and dander in the air. Many people find this leaves their space feeling fresh and inviting.

Beeswax is renewable, biodegradable, and supports beekeepers who play a critical role in protecting pollinators. Every candle helps sustain ecosystems that our food supply depends on.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY CANDLE?

For larger candles, including our pillar candles, let the wax melt nearly all the way to the edges before blowing it out.  This is especially important on the first couple of burns and help to prevent tunneling and extend the life of your candle.

Trim the wick approximately ¼ inch long before each burn. This reduces smoke and helps the flame stay steady.

Over time, beeswax may develop a light, frosty film called bloom. This is natural and a sign of quality beeswax. While we enjoy the natural patina, if you don't care for the look, gently buff with a soft cloth to restore its golden glow.

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE WAX AFTER I'M DONE BURNING MY CANDLE?

Beeswax is amazing and can be melted down and turned into new candles thus continuing the nearly zero waste cycle. We would love to recycle your beeswax if you are local to St. Paul. We'll purchase your pure, unrefined beeswax at $5 per pound toward your next order and turn it into a recycled pillar candle. We do not accept scented, bleached, dyed, or blended wax.

We hope to launch a recycling program for customers out of our pickup area soon; in the meantime, your beeswax and cotton wicks can be composted. Please note that the tea lights have a metal wick holder that needs to be removed prior to composting.

DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICK UP AND DELIVERY?

WHAT IS THE RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY?
